Automatic Derivation, Integration and Verification of Synchronization Aspects in Object-Oriented Design Methods

This informal report gives an update on our most recent activities on the DARPA PCES project. We summarize how we have realized to date the milestones established in our original PCES proposal (Section 2). We describe our initial efforts to recast our work in form that can be directly leveraged in the Boeing Boldstroke OEP and discuss how this initial effort has been received by the Boeing Boldstroke PCES OEP team (Section 3). We give a summary of the meeting we had with Boeing Boldstroke PCES OEP members in St. Louis on December 18, 2001 (Section 4). Based on a better understanding of the details of the Boldstroke design philosophy and implementation strategy gained during that meeting, we lay out a plan for integrating our high-level approach to synchronization with the Boldstroke platform.
